Explore the Thresholds
Where Water Meets Land
And Day Transitions into Night

Forest Therapy or Nature Immersion is a research-based framework for supporting healing and wellness through deep sensory immersion in natural environments. On this week-ending evening, we will immerse ourselves in the magical interstice between water and land, betwixt day and night. We will close the evening with a specially blended herbal tisane & organic snacks.

Through a grounding meditation and then a series of invitations, you will be guided to REconnect with the more than human world. Through circle gathering, interspersed throughout the evening, we will share our discoveries with each other.

Our event will take place on a local Santa Monica-area beach. (The exact location will be shared upon registration) and spaces will be limited.

Registration fee: $80

Meet Your Guides

Debra Wilbur

Animist, Ritualist, and Visual Poet

Debra is Midwestern born with an early and deep connection to the more than human world. About eight years ago, she transitioned away from a long career in film and television to practicing healing crafts. She is a certified nature and forest therapy guide, mindfulness teacher, reiki master, sound immersion guide, death doula, maker, and ritualist. She derives rather giddy pleasure from all things sparkly and furry; and she particularly enjoys bringing together strangers in the big city of LA to connect on a foundational level.

Sylvie Rokab

Nature-Mindfulness Teacher & Film Director

Born in Rio and raised by French and Italian parents who were born in Egypt, Sylvie is a certified nature therapy guide, mindfulness teacher, and Emmy-nominated filmmaker. By blending these disciplines, Sylvie offers simple but powerful techniques that help participants find release from anxiety, confusion, and isolation to access the healing, wisdom, and wonder that can only be found in nature.
