Sacred Earth Rising is a 6-week in-person workshop in Santa Monica, California for young women who feel called to honor and care for the Earth—while cultivating their own sense of well-being, belonging, and direction in a complex world.
You might feel drawn to this workshop if…
If you felt an inner “yes” while reading these reflections, you’re warmly invited to submit an application to join Earth-based Mindfulness Mentor, Forest Bathing Guide, and Emmy-Nominated Filmmaker Sylvie Rokab, alongside other like-hearted young women, for a small and intimate gathering devoted to caring for both our inner and outer nature.
Through sensorial experiences in the Ashland Oasis healing gardens in Santa Monica, ancient and earth-based wisdom teachings, evidence-based practices, and heart-centered connections, you’ll receive insights and tools to help you navigate your life with greater ease, clarity, confidence, connection, joy, and purpose.
Discover simple and powerful tools to release overwhelm and cultivate a lived sense of the Sacred. Through these earth-based practices, a sense of belonging, ease, purpose, and joy can gently emerge – so you can care for and contribute to the healing of our Mother Earth in your own way, at your own pace.
This program is sponsored by Carol Blaney and John Sun in loving memory of their daughter Isabel. There is no cost to participate.
As a practice of sacred reciprocity, we ask that each participant commit to attending all sessions. We also invite you to offer a suggested number of volunteer hours – such as 5 to 10 hours – with an earth-honoring organization of your choice within 12 months of completing the program.
Twelve young self-identified-women will be selected – age range 18-25.

Meet Sylvie
Earth-Based Mindfulness Facilitator
Guiding this journey is Sylvie Rokab, a seasoned mentor and Earth-based mindfulness teacher devoted to supporting young women as they listen for their Earth-rooted calling. Her work weaves mindfulness, Indigenous and wisdom traditions, forest bathing, meditation, and modern science into grounded, heart-centered practices.
Sylvie creates spaces where young women are invited to slow down, reconnect with their inner wisdom, and remember their belonging within the living world. With care, warmth, and a spirit of curiosity, she supports participants in moving beyond the pressures of daily life to explore purpose, presence, and possibility—cultivating awareness, kindness, joy, and a sense of wonder as they step into who they are becoming.
SESSION 1:
CREATING A DAILY PRACTICE
Establish a time tested and reliable way to set yourself up for an intentional, focused and peaceful day. Learn to anchor the secular mindfulness tools that have been used for millennia, and that scientific studies have proven to calm the nerves, heighten attention, and promote resilience.
SESSION 2:
MEETING YOUR EDGES
We often turn from parts of ourselves that feel prickly or difficult. But this internal suppression creates a division in the spirit and only intensifies our pain. What if we could hold every part of ourselves with love? What wisdom might we discover by meeting and softening into our hard edges?
SESSION 3:
ROOTING INTO JOY
Understand the ways in which we’re conditioned to focus on the negative, and learn the practices to rewire your brain for joy, beauty, wonder, and play; without bypassing the challenges and sorrows. Learn how anchoring conscious contentment turns you into a more effective leader in your life and world.
SESSION 4:
CONNECTING AND BELONGING
Modern culture has us living in an epidemic of loneliness, isolation, and deep divisions. Uncover the ways to resolve conflict and build bridges with compassionate communication, cultivate a sense of belonging with others, and join forces for higher visions that benefit all beings, human and beyond.
SESSION 5:
REVITALIZING YOUR PURPOSE
SESSION 6:
BRINGING IT ALL TOGETHER
DATES & TIMES
Sessions take place weekly on Wednesday evenings, 6:30 – 8:30pm in Santa Monica, CA.
